The Seed
"I came up with the idea of making our journey towards death as celebrated as birth. I discovered that sitting in an uncomfortable chair while waiting for my loved one to pass was a cold experience, fractured by emotion. Our goal is to make this journey an enlightening process. At The Life Care Hub, you will have the option to stay with loved ones until the very last moment, with traditional nursing support and holistic care available 24/7. It will be a memorable journey, built on love. During the patient's stay, they will have the opportunity to speak, share and encourage their loved ones to be strong; sharing stories, guided by trained professionals who will offer help when necessary and provide their family with tools to cope with the situation. Our grief professionals will start the process before death; offering pre- and post-bereavement counselling, we hope to fill part of the void.
Family
Together we are stronger and we can accept that, through this emotional moment, we will learn and live in the memory of our loved ones. We begin as a seed and grow into a tree rooted in the earth. Upon death, we leave memories in the hands of our families; each leaf is a thread of our love. The trajectory we offer is to live fully, with conventional hospital care and guidance until the final moments. We are the tree of life. Palliative care comes in many forms and is not just about end-of-life care. We will help rehabilitate patients who need post-operative care and those with potentially fatal diseases who will be treated to regain a better quality of life. In some cases, we will act as an intermediary centre between the hospital and returning home, where families will live with patients and be taught how to properly care for them. Many families worry about their loved one's return home, and this will ease the path toward their wellbeing."

The Story So Far
In 2000, Andrew Green met Joe Emmons, owner of Bawtry Investments, who advised him on all aspects of the complex. He was the owner of Bawtry Investments which Andrew eventually acquired. Founded in 1984, Bawtry was known for projects such as Mijas Jardín in Campo Mijas. In 2017/18, Andrew conceived the idea of creating Europe's first health and wellness center, dedicated to facilitating the journey of patients and their families. He negotiated with the local Town Hall and the Regional Government of Andalusia to adapt the land for this purpose, overcoming significant obstacles to get the land approved. Bawtry received the seal of approval and is now creating The Life Care Hub.
